DELIVERY DRIVER/SALES REP AND BEER BARN SERVER

Job Brief:

Big Barn Brewing is looking for a reliable and professional Delivery Driver/Beer Server to join our BBB team.
This is a hybrid position in which you will deliver beer a couple of days a week and work as
a taproom server on the weekends. As representative of our brewery on the road, you’ll ensure the timely and safe delivery of our craft beer to bars, restaurants, retailers, all while
representing the brewery with a friendly and positive attitude.
As a Beer Barn server, you will be expected to present a warm and friendly approach to all our customers. We expect a professional attitude laced with respect and kindness, thus providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Delivery Driver/ Sales Rep Key Responsibilities:

These responsibilities require 2 weekdays of work in this hybrid role. (preferably Tuesday and Thursday 8 am start time.)
● Deliver beer kegs, cans, bottles, to local accounts You will be using your own vehicle and be reimbursed for mileage at the end of each month.
You are expected to document mileage and time on the road and report back at the end of each work day via email to the brew team.
● Load and unload products carefully to prevent damage
● Verify delivery contents and obtain proper signatures/documentation
● Maintain delivery logs and reports.
● Represent the brewery in a professional manner with excellent customer service
● Communicate with the brewery team regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues

Beer Barn Server Key Responsibilities

The serving position will mainly be a Friday-Sunday to close (approximately 9pm) in this hybrid role

● Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service. Engage with patrons, answer questions about beer offerings, and make recommendations based on their preference.
● Pour and serve craft beers to customers, ensuring proper glassware and presentation. Follow the established procedures for serving beer responsibly and adhering to all alcohol-serving
Regulations.

● Be well-versed in the Beer Barn’’s craft beer selection, including the brewing process, flavor profiles, and ingredients. Familiarize yourself with the beer list, rotating taps, and special releases
● Keep the taproom area clean, tidy, and organized throughout the shift. This includes clearing and cleaning tables, washing glassware, and ensuring the bar area is well-maintained
● Handling Transactions: Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash and credit card transactions, issue receipts, and manage tabs responsibly
● Checking IDs: Ensure all customers are of legal drinking age by checking identification and enforce responsible drinking practices
● Knowledge of Safety Standards for the Beer Barn.

Qualifications and Skills

● 21 years of age or older
● Current MAST and Food Handlers permits
● Strong organizational habits, a self-motivated work ethic, and good critical thinking and
problem-solving skills
● Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
● Previous delivery or driving experience preferred
● Ability to lift/move heavy items (up to 160 lbs with a hand truck or assistance)
● Comfortable driving in urban and rural environments
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay and Benefits

● Full-time position, starting as soon as possible
● Hourly pay rate of $17-$22/hour plus tips and reimbursement for mileage, based on experience.
